Our Work
We dream of establishing a School for children of special needs and socially excluded children for years together. In this regard our Governing Body members discussed at length in the several meentings held & finally it was resolved to establish a School. In the Governing Body meeting held on 07/02/2018, the name of the School was also finalized as “Maulana Azad School.” It was also decided to contribute Rupees 5000/only by each Governing Body member in the meeting held on 31.03.2018. Finally it was proposed that ‘Maulana Azad School’ will be inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi-110025, who kindly consented for being the chief guest of the inaugural Ceremony to be held on 5 April 2018. As such our dream will finally come true with the establishment of ‘Maulana Azad School’ on 05.04.2018 in a rented premises at Abul Fazal Enclave-I, Jamia Nagar, New Delhi-110025
We all pray for the successful opening of the school and its progress ahead.
Our Activities
We organized several health care camps with the Cooperation of ‘Al-Shifa Multispeciality Hospital.’ Abul Fazal Enclave-I, Jamia Nagar, New Delhi-110025 throughout the year for women of the weaker section of the society.
A camp for free eye checkup was organized where eye check up of around 320 patients was done. Medicines and glasses to the needy people were distributed free of cost.
April 2017
A free camp for kidney disease, Urology and Nephrology was organized Around 55 urology patients and 73 Nephrology paents were checked up free of cost and advised accordingly by the specialist doctors from ‘Al-Shifa Multispeciality Hospital.’
May 2017
A Free camp for cardio and chest diseases was organized where 80 patients were checked up for cardio diseases and around 100 patients were checked up for chest diseases.
June- July 2017
A free medical camp for pediatric and Gynaecology was organized where around 90 Patients were checked up and given advices by the specialists from “Al-Shifa Multispeciality Hospital.”
August 2017
A Seminar on Diet and life style was conducted at “Al-Shifa Multispeciality Hospital” where around 90 participants attended the Seminar.
Also a Seminar for Breast feeding was Conducted where around 55 women attended.
September-October 2017
Skill Development Programme
A group of 10 girls were given training for two months for Embroidery and handicrafts under skill Development Programme.
November-December 2017
Another group of 20 girls were trained for arts and crafts to become self-dependent & earn their livelihood.
January-February 2018
We also arranged training for senior ladies of weaker section of the society for handicrafts and handi works. The training was a success. Around 50 Participants attended the training out of which atleast 15 have come up with Valuable skills for a job.
March 2018
Four patients were operated their eyes for Cataract at ‘Al-Shifa Multispeciality Hospital.’ Abul Fazal Enclave-I, Jamia Nagar, New Delhi-110025
Besides our participation in various activities enumerated in brief as above we were fully engaged and our Governing Body Members were involved in finalizing and giving final shape to a Dream Project of establishing a School for Children of special need and Socially Excluded Children during the last Quarter of the reporting year 2017-18 As a result ‘Maulana Azad School’ will come into existence on 05.04.2018, InshaAllah. May God Bless us & those who moved with us all along in this self less pursuit of “Being a Woman.”
